This is a gorgeously romantic book, which I really really enjoyed.
Effie, is a really relatable lead character, and although she doesn't love herself, I liked her from the very beginning. Theo meanwhile is the perfect leading man, and the other characters particularly Arthur all add hugely to the overall enjoyment.
Following a disastrous date, which Theo witnesses, he persues Effie, and despite initial resistance, they soon get together, only for near disaster to strike and their blossoming romance is broken.
There are several twists,turns and misunderstandings, and a few real heart wrenching moments, but I'm pleased to say a happy ending - which in these times I think we all need.
