A laugh a minute story from the very start. The hilarious insight into the life of a twentysomething rivalling the great Bridget Jones herself. The beautifully written character of Effie is so incredibly relatable no matter how old the reader, and her escapades are fraught with so much humour that it is impossible to not laugh out loud. Her mother Joy's constant match-making and Effies's inability at social interactions are a total pleasure to read.
