I judged this book by its cover - and rightly so.

Firstly I loved the cover of this book. Bright & striking but simple. I just had a feeling I was going to love it & I wasn’t wrong. Effie is stuck in a rut, she doesn’t have a ‘proper’ job, she lives with her parents, has only one friend and her love life is a disaster. The character reminded me a little of Eleanor Oliphant - but not quite as...Eleanor. She was completely relatable - socially awkward, caught up in a world where we only see the heavily filtered side of people. Then she meets Theo - a handsome man who eavesdrops on her disastrous date and sets his sights on helping Effie out of the rut she is stuck in. But one of them has a secret...
I really, really loved this book. It was so funny, charming & I found myself staying up and reading for four hours - I just had to know what happened. This is a great book, I laughed and cried - I can’t wait to read more from the author in future.
