I liked the book for many reasons.
Firstly, the cover was nice because of the fact that there were two lovely seahorses. Also, the seahorses were positioned together to make them look as if they were forming a heart.
Secondly, the main character who is called Effie seems to be living an interesting life. Her parents are not particularly the most amazing parents so she chooses to resort to finding and seeking comfort in books. This provided some relatability between Effie and myself as I also like reading.
On top of Effie liking reading, she is also revealed to have a love interest on a character called Theo. However, Theo isn't all that he appears to be... This mystery hidden inside of a romance makes the book very interesting.
Also, the writing style was very enjoyable which always helps provide a nice reading experience I like to think.
