I adored this. Effie is a likeable, relatable character who you really find yourself rooting for. Throughout the book I was reminded of other favourites; Bridget Jones' Diary, Bridesmaids and Miranda. As in those, the lead character's flaws and familiar insecurities are what make the story so endearing. It is full of hope and strength and I hope I remember it with fondness for a long time.
