I absolutely loved this book and could relate to effie in so many ways I laughed and cried with her it's such an emotional book taking you through her journey of becoming somebody she thinks other people I.e her mum would be proud of.
Effie feels like at 28 she has done nothing she works in a bookshop and still lives at home with her mum and dad while everyone around her is getting married and having babies, she feels like she is a disappointment so why change if that's what people expect from you.
We see her date even though she thinks why do people want to.be with her and even like her she tries to put people off before they can become attached to her a visa versa.
She does things and thinks things we all do and struggle with from time to time I defy you not relate to her at times.
It's a story that will have you truly gripped and crying with laughter and sadness.
