“I’d always wondered if the choices we make in life change the path that we started out on, or if we just end up at the same predetermined destination.”

This book focuses on the main character, Effie. Effie feels like an outsider and drowns her fears, sadness, loneliness in alcohol. When she meets Theo, her life starts. Theo created a list for her to achieve all her dreams and wishes and throughout the book, she does just that. I loved this book, it’s a great look into self-discovery, self-acceptance and learning how to be happy with ourselves.

Effie was annoying at times, but her story is heartbreaking. We all feel like that sometimes, like we’re not worth it or like everyone around us is happy and achieving everything they want, except for us. I love how the book describes Effie and how she overcomes all her issues. What I love the most is that at the end she says something like ‘I’m not gonna lie, I still have problems, I still drink.” That’s the reality when it comes to mental health, it lives with you, you have to overcome it every day and you don’t always win. It’s an amazing book, definitely recommend. It took me only 4 days to finish it, it was so good.
