I've been so used to reading thrillers lately that I thought I'd change things up a bit and give something else a go. The cover of this one initially grabbed me because it's so cute! This really isn't your average love story, it's far more about Effie's journey - she starts of being so self pitying and feeling constantly like she's a failure, but by the end she starts to learn how to accept and love herself. I did feel rather attached to her by the end! There are plenty of heartbreaking moments but it's also full of laughs and it really did make me smile.
