Ever had one of those days where everything seems to be going wrong? Well, that seems to be the life of Effie. In only reading about 36 pages of this book, it was impossible not to fall in love with her, nothing can seem to go right for Miss Matilda Effie Heaton. We see her try desperately to make some sort of achievement, any sort, but to no avail does she continue to trudge forward in her rather unfortunate little world. This is until she meets a most unexpected stranger (who is again impossible not to swoon for) who just might be able to put up with her disappointingly defeated personality. For anyone who likes an understandable rom-com which is easy to read and keeps you smiling, this is definitely the book for you.
