This book was so much of a half way point. It wasn't serious or funny. It was so self deprecating at points, trying to be witty, that I flinched. Are we really, in 2020, still at a point where a woman can only be amusing in a self narrated style if she us berrating herself and everything she's done wrong or never achieved? Surrounded by hallow friendships and untrustworthy men... I really am struggling to find much to compliment.

The only reason I have given this three stars rather than less is that I do believe the author clearly has a flare for writing, and, regardless of the fact I feel it was cringe-worthy throughout, I would read more books by the author. Her choice of topic might not be my cup of tea or glass of wine, but she has style.
