This book is probably not something I would buy in a shop but I am always willing to give things a shot. The taster I read was ver very well written the prose flows well, is easy to follow and doesn't lose pace.
The characters have been introduced but I don't feel I care much for any of them yet. However again the writing of them and the way they are described is very real and you do get a sense of wrongness with this family the tone is (I hate used this term) gritty and foreboding.
If I had the full book I suspect I would continue to read and not get bored but would not end up a favourite or a re-read. That being said perhapsthat would change as the plot advance as it stand I would just say I am not the target audience for this sort of thriller.
The cover of the book does nothing for me. Does not capture attention or tell me anything about the book.
The little cross hairs on the edges of the pages were a nice touch.
