I think with the world that we currently live in this is going to be a controversial book. It tackles looking at a shooter through his childhood and why he does the act he does. I’m not sure how much I liked this book as in some ways I wasn’t sure if the author was justifying the act of the shooter - although I’m sure that’s not what he meant to do, it just came across like that.

We follow Aslak on his journey and his relationship with his mother having to talk him down from the roof. Lots of innocent people get hurt and I think this is a shocking and hard hitting read which I’m not sure I would reccomend. I am not sure I would classify it as a thriller more a character drama as that is much more the focus!
