The first look of this book caught my eye as I love scandi noir books and thought that this would appeal. However, I should know not to judge a book by it's cover. The story is very broken, flitting between three different characters, between the current time and the past.
You learn that Laura the mother, is a committed environmentalist and Aslak, the son, is also keen to save the world. He, however, doesn't mix well with people and lives a solitary life after growing away from his older sister as they grew up. Aava, the sister, is working in Africa, as far from her family as she can get.
The book starts with Aslak taking shots at random people and tries to explain why he feels he needs to do this. Unfortunately for me, it was a struggle to read and I found it very disjointed.
