The cover drew me in, the comments on the cover pulled me in further, the blurb had me hooked. Comparison with 'All the light we cannot see', one of my favourite books, confirmed it, this is a book I want to read.
The story sounds fascinating but unsettling, I am doing lots of research about the Second World War myself, so am awed to see that the author has spent seven years on this. The fact that it has a very personal perspective, promises great writing. I really look forward to reading it.
