It seems so long ago i wrote my first impression for this book, I was excited to read it and i am glad i did.
The cover is lovely, it makes you conjure up your own stories and characters before turning the pages and reading what this truly haunting book is all about.
This genre isn't usually a genre i read, as much as i like to learn about non fiction and history but i could not put the book down, i am an emotional person but have never cried whilst reading a book. This one however changed that. It was beautifully written and really submersed you into the plot and the horrors of what just a handful of people went through. The violence, horror and how people stayed united and kept hope even through darkest times. I really think people should read this book.
