This was definitely a thought provoking read, or at least it was in my opinion. It obviously covered serious subject matters, set around the mid to late 1940s in and after the second world war and it was definitely a compelling story to read. It took the author seven years to write and was inspired by stories her grandparents (I think?) told about Germany and the war.
It was different to what I expected and it was about the wives of three men who went against the Nazis. As with anything about the war it was upsetting and talked about important subjects.
I liked the cover but it is kind of mediocre, not that it's particular important (don't judge a book by its cover and all that!). Would recommend!
