This book, Women of the Castle, isn't my usual genre choice but turned out to be an interesting enough historical novel.
The book is based around 3 women and the issues they face immediately after the Second World War and in the following years and how they cope with the decisions that they are faced with.
The book is well written and is clearly the subject of many hours of research by the author. The blurb claims 7 years which doesn't surprise me.
Like I said this isn't my usual cup of tea but was interesting enough and was written well enough to ensure that I finished the book.
If you like historical fiction of this nature then don't be afraid to give this book and author a go. I sure you won't be disappointed
