Having just finished my GCSE’s, I was immediately intrigued by the concept of a studious teen whose eyes are opened (by quite a frightening experience), forcing her to re-evaluate the life path she has planned out for herself. I really enjoyed these opening chapters because I could relate to the way in which the narrator knew what she wanted her future to be like, whilst also questioning the way she spent her time thus far. The writing style is relatable and amusing in the best possible way, meaning that I can’t help wanting to read more about the protagonist and the changes she wants to implement in her new life. So excited for her story!
