This book is perfect for teens/YA. I'm a little older than the targeted age range but found myself laughing audible aloud and completely empathising with the main character. After coming back from holiday she is struck down with a tropical disease and is going to die. Of course, she can't tell her parents as they'll just say unhelpful comments, so she gets the bus to the hospital. There the nurse sniffs her and talks about genitals and announces that she has herpes simple virus (a cold sore) from sharing a cup with her dad, a cold and too much fake tan.
It reminded of The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series and Bridget Jones. I'm sure the rest of the book will be just as funny.
