My first impression was that this sounds like a brilliant book from the description but after reading the first look it's hilarious! I'm now desperate to know what happens to Gracie. I felt like the story up to the diagnosis was abit dragged out and I wished it had got to the point quicker but the writing style was so funny and relatable that I kept reading regardless and finished the first look far sooner than I'd have liked. I find the blurb of the book a little vague on what actually happens in the book after the diagnosis but I'm intrigued to know how Gracie will go about fulfilling her dreams and think it will be an entertaining read. It does remind me a lot of Geek Girl in how it's written but I love those books so I think it's a great thing and it does make me want to find out more about it than if it didn't say so on the cover as I don't find the cover gives much away about the story. I do like the cover though, I just wouldn't necessarily feel the urge to pick it up in a bookshop. I think this sounds like a fantastic book and I can't wait to read what happens next and where her future takes her!
