The book is very enjoyable for a number of reasons. Firstly, the cover is vibrant which encourages me to pick it up and read it. Secondly, the main character and or the protagonist, Gracie is very interesting.
To begin with, she is very studious and does well in school so when she has to sit her GCSE's she thinks all will be well but actually realises she doesn't enjoy school much and school does not mean everything, hence the title 'You Only Live Once,' as she does not want to waste her whole life worrying about school related stuff. The cover somewhat reflects this due to how Gracie is winking, which can be seen as 'defiant' 'cheeky' behaviour and or actions. Also, her surname does the same.
The writing, plot as well as story itself our very enjoyable. It is the type of writing, plot and story I like as not only is it fast paced, it also allows room for humor.
